TWO DOLLARS AND FIFTY CENTS

YESTERDAY IN BROOKLYN, TWO GUYS BOARDED A B46 TO FLATBUSH WITH
OUT PAYING THE FARE.
TWO POLICE OFFICERS JUST HAPPENED TO BE CLOSE BY. WHEN THEY CONFRONTED
THE TWO GUYS, ONE GUY PULLS A GUN AND SHOOTS ONE OFFICER IN BOTH LEGS
AND HIS GROIN....
THE TWO PERPS FLEE AND WERE EVENTUALLY CAUGHT; BUT A ROOKIE COP
COULD BE PERMANENTLY DISABLED OVER A TWO DOLLAR AND FIFTY CENT
BUS FARE.........
AND GUESS WHAT? THE TWO PERPS WERE BLACK; NO SURPRISE THERE!
AS A BLACK MAN I AM DISGUSTED AND FURIOUS. HOW CAN BLACK PEOPLE BE
RESPECTED AND HONORED FOR THEIR ACHIEVEMENTS AS LONG AS MEMBERS
OF OUR RACE COMMIT THESE COWARDLY AND THUGGISH ACTS?
I WONDER HOW MANY BLACK CITY AND COMMUNITY LEADERS WILL CONDEMN
THIS BARBARIC ACT; OR DO THEY HATE THE POLICE SO MUCH THAT THEY ARE
BLIND TO THE THREAT THESE ACTS ARE TO THE COMMUNITIES THAT THEY
SERVE??
